Stuart Jones is a Boston-based composer of concert hall chamber music. His music has recently been performed by the LUMEN Contemporary Music Ensemble, the New York New Music Ensemble and the Omega Ensemble, among other contemporary music groups. His music is "magnificently crafted" (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette) and recently appeared on a new CD by the Omega Ensemble.

Highlights of the 2003/2004 season include the world premiere of Bless The Lord, O My Soul, a work commissioned by the United Methodist Church in Ocean City, NJ. The work will be premiered in Ocean City on October 18th, 2003, with future performances in New York City and Boston.

Mr. Jones has collaborated once again with percussionists Dominic Donato and Steve Payson in writing a new work for two marimbas for their percussion ensemble, DoublePlay. The work is part of a suite of works commissioned by the performers for a number of composers, each piece a two minute composition.  Since the composers write in a variety of styles, the suite represents an amalgam of the compositional styles of our times.
